Coreopsis (Coreopsis tinctoria)

Annual Also known as Tickseed. North American native produces multitudes of stems covered with daisy-like blooms. Flowers range in colour from yellows to brown-reds and bi-colours. Long blooming and self seeding, provides cut flowers well into fall. It is used in dyeing wool in shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown.
To grow: Direct sow after last frost in well-drained soil and full sun. Space 12”–18”. Do not cover seed. grows to 4 ft.
